Simply Rocks - Amethyst (Veracruz) with Amethyst Sceptre

Description:  Featuring another Vera Cruz Amethyst powerhouse, this cluster of lilac Vera Cruz Amethysts has amazing clarity and lustre that is typical of amethysts from this locality. The well-terminated Amethysts are very well interspersed across the bed of contrasting quartz matrix but these are not the only reasons why this is a ' must have' for every Amethyst lover in their collection. The icing on the cake goes to the largest Amethyst crystal in the cluster which incidentally happens to be an Amethyst sceptre crystal (sceptre occurs when a second crystal of quartz grows on top of a pre-existing quartz crystal in a second phase of growth) ! What are the odds?! A beautiful and well-terminated Vera Cruz Amethyst sceptre in the midst… This cluster is filled with so many of these well-loved Mexican classics that we can’t quite decide how it can be best admired - horizontal facing or vertical? What are your thoughts?
