Simply Rocks - Fluorite

Description: Fluorite is commonly distributed in countries such as South Africa, United Kingdom; Mongolia, Spain alongside with China and Mexico that are reportedly one of the biggest producers of Fluorite. In Bulgaria, fluorite is not so commonly distributed as in China or the United Kingdom and is not widely known to be a significant locality for Fluorite deposits and they can be found only in a few locations. This particular specimen is from a lesser known location,  Chereshkite ore occurrence, located between two small villages – Dolno Chereshkite and Gorno Che reshkite, in the Central Rhodopes. Not surprising, Pyrite and Galena are more commonly found in the location which makes this beautiful specimen of lustre and translucent green; honey-brown fluorite crystals as octahedrons. The location is no longer known to be productive which makes the quality of the Fluorite specimen excellent in its class since it is expected that there will won't be any new material coming out from this location.
