Description:  This stalactite botryoidal aggregate with intense, metallic-iridescent colours is classic material from Tharsis Mine that is famous for producing goethites of such contrasting coloration. Goethites are commonly grey and may not be the most exciting material but the Thasis variety has redefined the game with its splash of iridescent colours in harmonious splendour. The mine has not produced any significant samples in more than 25 years.
