Hujambo (Swahili for Hello) our East African Coffee lovers!
Tanzania boasts of very rich wildlife habitat consisting of the hugely visited Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater conservation Area, home to Africa’s highest point - Mount Kilimanjaro, among other rich natural resources.
Tanzania is also widely known for some of the world’s highly regarded coffees characterised by succulent flavours and bright, winey acidity.
The Kubwa Tano AA is a natural processed lot produced by small farmer groups under their Agricultural Marketing Cooperative Society (AMCOS) in Mbeya region, Southern Tanzania. Grown at 1,000 - 2,000 metres above sea level, the farmers with their families hand pick and deliver the red ripe cherries to their washing station for re-sorting and the final cherries collected are placed on the African raised beds.
To control fermentation process and achieve optimal moisture content, the coffee is regularly turned and covered during the hottest part of the day and night against possible rain pour.
